Democrat Dogs from Attacking Private Citizen
Special Inspector General: Mahoney and Silberberg Are Right
STRATHAM, NH***Conservative small business owner and Republican candidate for Congress Sean Mahoney (NH-01) today called on Democratic Rep. Carol Shea-Porter to call off the Democrat attack dogs who last week lashed out at a private citizen because he dared to stand up to the Obama-Pelosi-Shea-Porter economic agenda.
Mahoney and Alan Silberberg held a press conference in Belmont on Thursday at the former Lakes Family Auto Center to highlight the damage the President Obama’s policies are causing small business owners and working families. The New Hampshire Democratic Party attacked Silberberg, a private citizen who has never been involved in politics, saying he has been “discredited.”
“Carol Shea-Porter needs to call off the Democrat dogs who have sunk to a new low by attacking a private citizen because he disagrees with her liberal, job-killing policies,” Mahoney said. “Carol Shea-Porter and the Democrat party both owe Alan Silberberg an apology. First their policies robbed him of his livelihood and then they publicly smeared him for standing up for himself. This is why Americans have lost their trust in government.”
A report out this week from the special inspector general of the Troubled Asset Relief Program confirms it is Carol Shea-Porter who has been “discredited.” The report underscores Mahoney and Silberberg’s message that the auto bailout, which Shea-Porter supported, was a job killer. According to special inspector general Neil Barofsky, who is quoted in Bloomberg News on Monday, “Such dramatic and accelerated dealership closings may not have been necessary and underscores the need for Treasury to tread very carefully when considering such decisions in the future.”
